Holiday Dinners

We fed the sister missionaries on Saturday. Since they were sisters, I wanted to do a really nice dinner with the table all set and looking somewhat holidayish. Not that boy missionaries aren't important, but we all know they don't give a darn about all the fancy dishes and center pieces right? Anyway, it had been an absolutely crazy night, and in an attempt to keep the kitchen looking clean, I hid the dirty pans in the oven. I know what you're thinking, but there was barely enough time to make dinner and have it all looking fancy before the sisters arrived. I was desperate! I am happy to report that the dinner went well. Everything looked fantastic, the kids were surprisingly well behaved, and we had an awesome evening.

Tonight, two days later, as the oven preheated and the house started to smell like it was on fire, I remembered the dirty pans. Whoops!

I know lots of people that use their oven as a hiding spot.
