Fun times!!!

My in-laws are the nicest people on the planet and offered to take my boys for a week since they are off track for the next 27 days! C TRACK---YUCK! Okay, I know I complain about every track I am on. That's because I don't think there really is a good "track". They all have breaks in the middle of the winter when you are confined to the house due to snow and air you can practically chew! I have never had "traditional" school while raising children, so I'm not sure if the long summer break would be any better to tell the honest truth. Mostly I just like my kids when they are in school for seven hours of the day. Is that bad? I love them. I am so glad I that I have been blessed with them, and they certainly enrich my life. I just like them to be at school during the day so we can both get things done without driving each other crazy! Maybe it's just me?

ANYWAY
, with them gone, the house has been so quiet and I have been able to get everything on my list done today...we all know how often that happens. Adi and Davis played really well together, there was minimal fighting, and they went to bed GREAT! So, all chores done and kids asleep, here I am with time to blog. Yeah!

We made our annual trip to St. George a few weekends ago and had a blast! The adults went to Mesquite for a crab leg buffet. My favorite part of the buffet is the dessert, although I think the cake I got was made with rancid oil this year. It was seriously nasty. Good thing there were like five other flavors to try. I of course forgot to take my camera to the resturaunt.

When we got home, we found most of the kiddos sound asleep! I love it when babysitters put the kids to bed---Thanks to my niece Kimarie for watching the crazy bunch!

The girls and little boys played on the golf cart for hours one day. They were pretending it was an airplane and took turns being the pilot and the stewardess. I thought that was pretty cute. I love Adi's smile in the above picture. "Yep I am cool."
The girls got really creative and asked for trays and food and drinks. They settled for a cake pan, blocks, and paper cups. They also wanted placemats but we talked them into using tissue. Oh to be five and happy with pretending!

Adilynn and Madison are two names that have so many different combinations. Madison does not go by Madi, and we usually call Adilynn, Adi, so all weekend I mixed up the names. I called them Madi, Adison, Madilynn, and everything but the right names!

Thomas was a sweetie and played Uno with all the kids. I think he even let them win because he is so good like that. He always wants the kids to feel good about themselves and be part of things. The grown ups played a lot of games too which is one of my favorite parts about our trip (beside shopping at the outlets of course). We let Bennett stay up one night and play a few rounds of Mexican Train dominos with us after the other kids had zonked out. You know you are getting old when your kids are old enough to stay up late and play games!

If there is any sort of fence my boys feel the need to climb it. Even Davis got up this one that is not very tall. This is the back patio which over looks a golf course. It was a little rainy while we were there, but there was no inversion, the kids could play outside, and I even got to go running a few times!!! Do you have to be retired to be snowbirds?
