VACATION!!!!

We made our annual trip to sunny St. George last week and had such a blast! Thomas' mission companion, Ryan, and his wife Amanda, meet us there each year for a weekend of shopping at the outlets, playing games, staying up late, watching movies, and fun! It is always such an awesome get away. I want to go again tomorrow!

Davis and Hunter who are just a couple weeks apart, playing in the T.V. cabinet while the grown ups watched football and played Mexican train dominos.
When Bennett saw this picture downloading earlier he informed me that the reason he did not climb all the way in the whole was because he saw a scorpion in it. Hmmm.
Adilynn and Madison (try saying that ten times fast) had fun climbing too. The weather was so gorgeous!
We took the kids to the park one afternoon. It was so nice. Perfect weather. Maybe we should move south. There was a band playing, the grass was green, you barely needed your jacket! Talk about spring fever!
Davis currently says two things. Uh oh, and touch down. He loves to throw around a football! Watch out!

Alas, now we are home. We made the five hour drive back safe and sound despite driving through thick blankets of fog/smog/air that will surely shorten our life spans. Now we are back to "normal" life which so far this week has included:
*a tooth extraction for Bennett who can't seem to get rid of teeth the normal way.
*a trip to the vet with our 72 pound dog and all four children who are off track. Thomas owes me BIG TIME for that one--dumb dog!
*a dinner at Hungry Bear Pizza where someone actually comes out dressed in a bear costume, and goes around high-fiving scared children and kissing babies that do not want a large furry mascot anywhere near them.
*a freshly made pitcher of orange juice spilling all over the floor and even into the just cleaned refrigerator. Who knew 2 quarts of liquid could cover so much area!
*oodles of barbie hair all over the bathroom. Adi decided her barbies needed their dead ends trimmed.
*a dismantled black marker. I don't know where it came from or how he got it, but I found Davis and a small corner of the family room covered in black. Sigh. At least it came off of his mouth and ears.

I need another vacation.
