Hey! Thought I would let everyone know that I did not end up in the looney bin last week. I did finally get some sleep, and my kids are mostly better. We are busy, as I'm sure most of you are, making Christmas goodies, addressing those dang Christmas cards, wrapping up presents that are thankfully all purchased, attending Christmas parties, and practicing the piano for the ward choir perforamnce on Sunday (three arrangements by Wilberg requires at least an hour of practicing a day but will sound beautiful eventually, at least I think it will). I hope you are all enjoying your holidays too. Thanks for all the fun emails and comments on my craziness last week. It was fun to hear from all of you mom's that feel my pain. This week my goal is to sit back and enjoy these times that will be gone all too soon.
Priorities for this week:
1. Try not to care that the tree is being undecorated on a hourly basis.
2. Let the kids eat more of the goodies brought by the neighbors than I do.
3. Cross out any unrequired notes in Wilberg's Angels from the Realm of Glory, and embed the five key changes into my memory.
4. Read my children Christmas books each night at bed time, no matter how late we get to bed.
5. Buy a box of treats for the dang dog since Bennett asked Santa not to forget Annie this year. What a sweetie.
6. Don't get mad no matter where I find the ceramic baby Jesus, even if it is on the back of the toliet.

LOL about Jesus on the back of the toilet. That is CLASSIC!!!
I feel your pain about choir. I am the ward accompanist too - I finished crossing off unnecessary notes a few weeks ago. :-)
My favorite one of your goals is to read a Christmas story every night at bedtime. I have been terrible about that. The kids have mostly been looking at the books themselves. (Of course, it does help that two of the three know how to ready already.)
What songs are you doing for your choir? I LOVE Mack Wilberg! I'm choir director and I was really mean to my accompanist this year, and picked three songs from the Messiah. She is a really amazing pianist though and totally up for the challenge.
You have such a good perspective! I am feeling crazy myself and hope we make it to Utah and fit everything we need in our van to make a great Christmas. I only have 3 more days to make it all happen. :)
